The Sustainable Environment Foundation Nepal (SEFNep) is a research and policy institute dedicated to advancing planetary health, environmental sustainability, and climate action.

Operating at the climate and health nexus, we recognize that true sustainable development cannot be achieved without addressing environmental health, resource equity, and multi-level climate governance. SEFNep actively collaborates with federal, provincial, and local bodies to conduct comprehensive field research, promote community-based natural resource management, and facilitate the execution of practical, evidence-based programs across the energy-water-food nexus.

Our goal is to translate academic rigor into community-level interventions that protect vulnerable populations, build resilient infrastructure, and assist in implementing the public’s constitutional right to live in a clean, sustainable environment. By bridging the gaps between climate adaptation, ethical healthcare delivery, and international climate investment, we strive to promote sustainable livelihoods and safeguard intergenerational health equity.
