Nepal is highly vulnerable to climate change, requiring integrated approaches that combine climate adaptation, climate mitigation, and disaster risk reduction (DRR) with strong climate governance. SEFNep works across the full climate action spectrum—supporting resilient infrastructure, emissions reduction strategies, and the deployment of low carbon technologies.

A key focus of our work is the design, development, implementation, and monitoring of high-quality carbon project development. We facilitate carbon trade in international markets, connecting Nepal-based projects with global buyers and partners. Through strategic collaboration with international organizations and the private sector, SEFNep works to attract international climate investment and climate finance into Nepal’s carbon and climate sectors, translating climate ambition into scalable, investment-ready solutions.
